Did you forget to install the versions of the Xen tools that come with PTLsim? 
Go get xen-ptlsim-14201.tar.bz2 from our web site (see the download page), 
and make sure you run "sudo make install" in the xen-unstable.hg/tools 
directory. I assume you already compiled and installed the PTLsim-enabled Xen 
hypervisor too - there's a lot more than just the kernel involved here.
